You Have Wings

wings.jpg
You were born with potential.
You were born with goodness and trust.
You were born with ideals and dreams.
You were born with greatness.
You were born with wings.
You are not meant for crawling, so don’t.
You have wings.
Learn to use them and fly.

Rumi, 13th century Sufi mystic

sometimes my wings are strong and I fly a great distance. Others I forget i have them and sit curled in the corner being scared.

BEAUTIFUL! I will take these words into my heart and embrace them! Pradapixie, when you find yourself frightened in a corner, please reach out. We stand in our strength as women, when one is weak another is strong. In my worst sorrow, I reconnected with my female friends and it was they who held me up. Peace my friends.

yes Pradapixie, we are definitly here…in my experience knowing someone was close who cared about me when i was scared helped me manage my fear…take care darling, love gail

Dear pradapixie, i read this quote today and thought of you…”if you saw yourself the way Source sees you, you would smile alot!”

love gail

oh you lovely women, thank you for caring. I’m really touched.
I suppose one of the things that I allow myself to be here is total, not just the confident person that everyone who meets me thinks i am. But also to be vulnerable. It is ok for me to be like this, it is part of the whole. But for you two to reach out to that side of me touches me in ways that i cannot find words for. hugs to you both and the wonderful MW.

LoVe you px, all parts of you…the vulnerable and the strong, the sure and the unsure, flying or temporarily grounded! We have an awesome support system, don’t we? I’m so grateful for it!

Thank you, MWM, for this beautiful poem! I was wondering if you have a (or more) book of Rumi or whether you just find these words on the net? Big hugs and much love to you!

btw - not sure why it didn’t come up but the previous comment was from me!
